8-Year-Old Calls Police After Father Overdoses on Fentanyl

(Kennewick, WA) -- Local police are warning residents about the dangers of Fentanyl after an incident involving a man using drugs in a car with his two sons. Police got a call the 600 block of N. Columbia Center Blvd after an eight-year-old called 9-1-1 to report a medical concern with his father.

Responders gave the man a shot of Naloxone to counter the opioid. They then booked him on two charges of Reckless Endangerment. The child and his 9-year-old brother were taken into protective custody.
