TRI-CITIES, Wash. - The two-week COVID case rate per 100,000 people is back down to 201 in Benton County after 30 new cases were reported Wednesday by the Benton-Franklin Health District, while the case rate in Franklin County remains high at 317 with 16 new cases in the last 24-hours.

Hospitalizations in the bi-county region are ticking upwards, now 32 at the four hospitals, or 8% of all the people receiving care.

Nearly 600 Pfizer vaccines and 49 Johnson & Johnson inoculations were administered Tuesday at the Mass Vaccination Site at the Benton County Fairgrounds ion Kennewick.

500 doses of the J and J shot are available this week after getting the OK again from the CDC.
