KENNEWICK, Wash. -- On Sunday, the Benton Franklin Health District confirmed two new cases of coronavirus, both in Franklin County.

One face involves a Franklin County man in his 60s who tested positive for COVID-19 and is recovering at home. The other is a Franklin County woman in her 60s with an epidemiological link to a positive case, who is also recovering at home.

The total number of lab-confirmed cases in the Tri-Cities is now at 10, with two epidemiological cases, and three deaths.

BFHD is working with local medical partners to make sure hospitals and other heath care facilities have the resources they need to respond to additional cases as they need increase.

The health agency is asking the community to practice social distancing, and take the risk of spread of COVID-19 in the community seriously.
