Three people sit behind bars after a search warrant turned up heroin, as well as, drug paraphernalia.

The Moses Lake Tactical Response Team says they served out the warrant on the 4300 block of Miller Drive NE, in Moses Lake Thursday morning. The three, with other warrants out for their arrest, were taken into custody without incident.

However, the Moses Lake Tactical Response Team says when they entered the home Thursday morning a pitbull charged at the officers, so they had to shoot and kill her.

Alfredo Gomez wanted for a Department of Corrections warrant, Laura Goff wanted for a warrant for theft and Stephanie Rice wanted for a traffic warrant were all arrested.

Officers did not release the amount of illegal drugs taken from the house.

The TRT is comprised of officers from the Moses Lake Police Department, Grant and Adams County Sheriff's Office and the Othello Police Department.
