Suspect Crashes Stolen Truck and Runs from Police
PASCO, Wash. - Pasco Police arrested a man who stole a truck, crashed it, then fled from police.
Police say the victim started up his work truck, went inside to grab something, and came back outside to an empty driveway. After calling police and sharing the description and license plate number, police were able to find the truck crashed into a barrier on the 4th Ave on-ramp to I-182. As soon as an officer showed up, the suspect booked it, even jumping over a fence to get away.
Officers searched the area for him, and after spotting him had to chase him on foot, finally finding him hiding behind an AC unit. Officers say he appeared to be under the influence of something, so they got a search warrant to sample his blood which will be tested at the lab. Currently he's booked at the Franklin County Jail on an investigative hold for Theft of Motor Vehicle.
