Sunnyside police are investigating two armed robberies this morning that are similar in nature.

Officers say this morning around 4:00 a.m. a Hispanic man walked into the Valley View Market near the intersection of S. 1st Street and Lincoln Ave. Officers say he showed a gun and took off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was wearing dark clothing, and is approximately 5'6" to 5'7" and 150-160 lbs.

Shortly after the robbery, a Hispanic man entered the "Pick a Pop" store off 16th Street and Yakima Valley Hwy where he displayed a knife and money. The suspect in the case was also wearing dark clothing and has similar features as the other suspect in the first robbery.

No one was hurt in the two robberies and officers have not yet determined if the two cases are connected.
