PASCO, Wash.-- A Pasco man was arrested Sunday night after officers connected him to a stolen car.


The red Toyota Camry was reported stolen from the 2200 block of W. Shoshone at about 11:15 p.m. Sunday, and within minutes, an officer spotted it at the Tahitian Inn at 28th and W. Lewis St. in Pasco.


After reviewing surveillance footage, officers were able to identify a suspect and the room he went in.


There were several people in the room, including Rian E. Porter, 23, Pasco, who was taken into custody for possession of a stolen vehicle.


Officers obtained a search warrant for the room, where they found Lexis Kapri Rutherford, 26, Kennewick, hiding under a pile of clothing.

Ruterford was booked into the Benton County Jail on an active warrant.


Officers also located the keys to the stolen Camry in the room. The vehicle and the keys were returned to the owner.
