(Hermiston, OR) -- Two weeks after an explosive fire that injured 6, Shearer's Foods is announcing it will end employment of workers at its Hermiston Plant. The CEO released a statement saying it would take at least 15-18 months before the plant could resume production, and the company has not yet decided the future of the Hermiston site. He adds that the company is looking at possible relocation for some staff interested in working at other locations, and has provided a severance and benefits continuation to more tenured team members.
