PASCO, Wash.-- Pasco Police arrested a man early Monday morning when they responded to a report of a burglary at a home in the 900 block of W. Marie St.

The residents first reported hearing someone in the kitchen just after 3:30 a.m., then reported that the suspected was up on the roof.

Sgt. J.T. Thompson with the Pasco Police Department said the suspect broke through the skylight on the home.

Officers arrived at the scene and found James Nicholas Braithwaite, 34, standing on the roof. He immediately raised his hands and complied with commands.

Police located a ladder in the back yard of the home and were able to help Braithwaite off the roof.

He was taken to the hospital to be checked out for any injuries, and then booked into the Franklin County Jail on burglary and malicious mischief charges.
