Port of Benton Begins Prosser Taxilane Project

The Port of Benton has begun its planned improvement project at Prosser Airport (George O. Beardsley Field). That means the primary entrance gate will be closed beginning Monday, August 2nd and remain closed until at least August 27th. Alternate gates will be manually opened as a detour for pilots, lessees, and other users. Airport visitors and tenants are asked to use caution and observe a low-rate of speed while navigating the construction detours.

The Port of Benton received $600,854 through the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP) to make improvements and construct additional hanger sites.
