Plastic cutting board on stove causes fire at Kennewick apartment

No one was hurt after a plastic cutting board placed on a hot stove caused a fire in a Kennewick apartment Thursday morning.

Kennewick firefighters say when they arrived smoke was coming out of the apartment windows off Conway street.

Crews say the one person who was home at the time, was able to get out safely. Firefighters say the flames were contained to the stove.
