Nurse saves life of man who collapsed

A man collapsed while walking alone in the area of S. Cottonwood Drive and East Wiser Road Sunday afternoon.

A nurse was driving by when the man fell to the ground.

She stopped, called 911, and administered CPR until paramedics from Benton County Fire District #1 arrived on the scene.

Lt. Tracy Baker with Benton County Fire District #1 said paramedics worked to re-establish a pulse on the man, believed to be in his 60s, before transporting him to the hospital for additional treatment.

There's no word on the man's condition.
