A Moses Lake woman was arrested Friday night for assaulting her ex-girlfriend just days after being released from jail on theft charges.

According to Moses Lake Police, Cassandra Elizabeth Calderon-Ozuna, 20, was arrested Sunday, January 19, 2020, for allegedly stealing from a Moses Lake business.

Investigators say Calderon-Ozuna assaulted the arresting officer, spitting on his face and his mouth.

She was released from jail on Wednesday, and is suspected of breaking into her ex-girlfriend's home Thursday, choking and assaulting the victims.

Police say the victim suffered minor cuts on her hand from wrestling a knife away from Calderon-Ozuna.

As officers searched several place where she might be located, the suspect called officials to complain that officers had visited her house and her work and were “embarrassing” her.

Calderon-Ozuna is back in custody in the Grant County Jail, facing new charges for 2nd Degree Assault Domestic Violence, 1st Degree Burglary 1st degree, theft of a motor vehicle and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.
