Franklin Co Sheriffs Deputy cleared in 2019 shooting death of suspect
PASCO, Wash.-The Franklin County Prosecutor has opted NOT to file criminal charges against a Sheriffs deputy in the shooting death of a suspect in November 2019.
After reviewing the Special Investigation Unit's report, Deputy Cody Quantrell's use of deadly force was deemed necessary in stopping Dante Jones on a rural road about 15 miles north of Pasco.
Jones led deputies on a high-speed chase, tried to ram one of the vehicles, then tried taking off when the deputy attempted to arrest him, when shots were fired.
