Fire Burns Apartment Building in Downtown Kennewick

This fire significantly affected five small businesses located on the first floor of this building. Those businesses

 Squeaky Clean (5 N. Cascade St.)
 Ashiatsu Massage (300 W. Kennewick Ave.)
 The Social Club Salon (302 W. Kennewick Ave.)
 The Lady Bug Shoppe (304 W Kennewick Ave.)
Firefighting efforts prevented the fire from entering into two adjoining businesses. However, both business will be unable to open for several days due to utilities that had to be disconnected from the fire building.
Those businesses include:
 Desert Gem (306 W. Kennewick Ave.)
 Foodies (308 W. Kennewick Ave.)

(Kennewick, WA) -- Fire crews were called to a blaze off Kennewick and Cascade in Downtown Kennewick Friday morning around 5:30 for a two-alarm fire at a apartment/commercial building. A portion of the building's roof collapsed as the blaze burned and there were worries over the building's stability. One was rushed to the hospital and a dog was rescued. Streets were blocked off all over Downtown Kennewick, and the Red Cross was called out to help the residents of the building, which contained six apartment units. No word on the cause but an arson investigator was called to scene.
