Easton man arrested for burning down home

A man has been arrested after Kittitas County deputies say he burned down his family's home Tuesday night.

Firefighters say they were called out to the home around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday for the house fire in Easton. A neighbor reported that the house was on fire and the wife of the homeowner said her husband started the fire after a fight.

Crews put out the fire but it was destroyed. Deputies searched the area for 45-year-old Brett Sherwood, however he was not located.

On Wednesday morning, deputies got a call Sherwood was back in the area and he was arrested without incident.
