The Asotin County Coroner has now released that two people died in a Dayton mobile home fire from smoke inhalation.

Firefighters say the bodies of two people, both from Dayton, were found in the same room after they were able to control the flames which engulfed the home last Thursday.

The Coroner identified the second victim Monday as 29-year-old Micheal Hankins. The first victim was identified Friday as 45-year-old Tami Jo Spring from Dayton.

Investigators have released few details about what caused the fire. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says when they were called out to the fire on Thursday off 603 Country Village Court around 3:50 a.m., the home was engulfed in flames.

Deputies said in a press release that the fire is currently under investigation and more details will be released in the future. If you have any information about the fire you are asked to call the Columbia County Sheriff’s office.
