Body pulled from Columbia River, Benton Co Sheriffs investigating
KENNEWICK, Wash.- Benton County Sheriffs detectives are investigating a body that was pulled from the Columbia River Friday morning in the Lampson Pits area of Columbia Park.
Initial indications point to the remains being that of a man in his late 20s or early 30s that had been in the water for less than a week.
A woman was walking on the pathway along the river near the pump-house and discovered the body and contacted police.
The Benton County Coroner is conducting an autopsy to learn more about the man's identity and a possible cause of his death.
