Benton County Administrator stepping down

Benton County Administrator David Sparks has given notice that he plans to step down from his role at the end of next month.

At its meeting Tuesday, the Benton County Board of Commissioners appointed Deputy County Administrator Loretta Smith Kelty to the role of Interim County Administrator.

Sparks has held the post as County Administrator for 19 years.
