(Prosser, WA) -- A woman and her 14-year-old son are rushed to the hospital after three pit bulls attack them and their own dog while they were walking along Old Inland Empire Highway Friday morning. The woman and her son saw the charging pit bulls and tried retreating back into their own property, going so far as to close off their fence. The Benton County Sheriff's Office says the attacking dogs were able to push through and attack, causing severe injuries to the woman and teen. They were taken to Kadlec and are said to be in surgery. Their dog was killed in the attack. The pit bulls were seized and given to animal control. It's likely they'll be euthanized.
