Icy conditions are being blamed for a water main break in Benton County early Monday morning.

Deputies with the Benton County Sheriff's Office posted photos of the intersection of Kennedy and Keene Road near West Richland showing flooding in the roadway at about 3:00 am.

City crews were able to divert water around the break so that no customers were without water.

Gail Everett with the city of Richland confirmed that the crews with Richland's public works expect to have repairs completed and the road back open by 3:00 Monday afternoon.
