WA one step closer to staying on Daylight Saving Time

The Washington State Senate voted 46-2 Tuesday evening to remain on Daylight Saving Time year-round.

The amended bill must still return to the House for approval before heading to Governor Jay Inslee's desk for his signature. The measure originated in the House and passed that chamber last month easily, 89-7.

California and Oregon lawmakers are also considering similar bills, but the final decision is made by the Federal government.
