KENNEWICK, Wash.-- WorksSource Columbia Basin is looking for businesses and other organizations that are hiring, or that have other resource to help members of the community who might be looking for work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We want to get them all together so that we can deliver as many resources to our community as we can," said Thailee Gomez, a Business Navigator with WorkSource Columbia Basin. "If you are a business with a resource, any type of employment for our community-- we need you there. Our community needs this now more than ever."

Using an online platform, businesses will have a virtual booth that participants can visit on January 13, 2020, after setting up an online profile. Business representatives can message or video chat with participants in real time, review resumes and social media links like LinkedIn, and make appointments for future interviews and other interactions.

"The businesses will be able to obtain your information through the profiles that you create which will help them connect with you later," Gomez said.

Businesses that want to participate by setting up a virtual booth can do so by contacting Thailee Gomez at 509-734-5965 or tgomez@esd.wa.gov.

Community members who want to participate in the job can register HERE.

The job fair happens January 13, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
