Teen in critical condition after hit and run in Kennewick

A 17-year old Kennewick boy is in critical condition after he was hit by a car while playing basketball in front of his home Wednesday evening.

According to the Kennewick Police Department, family members inside the home in the 800 block of S. Belfair St. heard something outside and went to investigate. That's when they found the teen lying in the driveway unconscious and struggling to breathe.

The victim was taken to TRIOS in Kennewick before being flown to Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle where at last report he remained unconscious and in critical condition.

Investigators with the Kennewick Police Department are asking anyone who might have information about the incident to please contact them.
