Council members will be talking about the options available to create paid parking to increase revenue for the downtown area.

The goal is to restore an early morning flight to Seattle by November 17.

While the council hasn't yet made a decision about paid parking business owner Joe Mann says he's confident the plan will be approved by the city in the near future.

Yakima City Manager Bob Harrison says the city had no other option after a tax proposal to raise needed funds failed in 2020.
