Many people who live and work in downtown are looking for answers after the city placed a hold on parking enforcement in the downtown area in December last year.

While the council hasn't yet made a decision about paid parking business owner Joe Mann says he's confident the plan will be approved by the city in the near future.

Yakima City Manager Bob Harrison says the city had no other option after a tax proposal to raise needed funds failed in 2020.
