KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A man wanted in connection with a kidnapping and robbery investigation in Kennewick is in custody following a noisy standoff in Benton City Tuesday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Kennewick Police Department, Sergio Delgado, 25, was wanted on several charges related to a December 1, 2020 incident after a woman reported that she had gone to a home at 119 N. Volland St. to purchase narcotics, and was prevented from leaving. 

The 36-year old victim reported that Delgado, along with Kristin Link, 26, had also assaulted and robbed her. Police say the victim had visible injuries and was treated at a local hospital.

Link was located and taken into custody at a hotel on December 21st, and investigators continued to follow leads about the possible location of Delgado. 

Kennewick Police, along with US Marshals and members of the local SWAT surrounded a home and outbuilding in the area of N. Wahn and Corral Creek Road Tuesday afternoon, after getting a tip that Delgado might be at the residence. After several hours, and the deployment of flashbangs, officers arrested Delgado

He was taken to a local hospital for clearance before being booked on the kidnapping, robbery, and assault charges, as well as a new count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
