Richland man dies after being hit by car in Oregon

PENDLETON, Ore.-- A Richland man died late Saturday after he struck by a car while walking along I-84 in Umatilla County.

According to the Oregon State Police, David Jones, 64, was walking in the lane of travel on the interstate west of Pendleton just before midnight when he was hit by a sedan driven by a 67-year old Pasco woman.

Jones died at the scene. Oregon State Police troopers are investigating.
