The city of Richland has a new Mayor.

Former Mayor Bob Thompson was re-elected to the city council in November, and was sworn in for a new term at Tuesday night's city council meeting, along with Phillip Lemley, Terry Christensen, and Brad Anderson

Following the swearing-in, the Richland City Council elected council member Ryan Lukson to the role of Mayor, and Sandra Kent as Mayor Pro-Tem.

The new Mayor and Mayor Pro-Tem immediately took on their new roles right away.

Lukson was elected to the Richland City Council in 2017. He is currently serving a four-year term that expires in 2021.

Mayor Pro-Tem Sandra Kent has served as a councilmember since 2008 and is currently serving a four-year term that also expires in 2021.
