The Oregon Department of Geology is warning residents to be on the lookout for landslides during the atmospheric river event that's hitting the state. Up to a foot of rain could fall in the Coast Range and up to three inches could fall in the Valley. Officials say wildfire damaged hills will be especially prone to slides.

In Washington, officials are also warning of possible landslides, and add that the rain could cause flash flooding in some urban areas, roads, and small streams.
