Several cities have taken steps to ban the sell and distribution of marijuana in the Tri-Cities, but Pasco is taking it a step further by passing an ordinance to deal with the effects of marijuana grow operations.

Community Development Director Rick White says the complaints come in two categories.

"Probably the most common complaint we receive are illegal fences we believe are concealing illegal fences and odor complaints," White said

City council is expected to take action on the ordinance at their meeting next week.
