(Mattawa, WA) -- The Wanapum Indian Village had to be placed on lockdown after deputies say a man threatens others with a rifle. The Grant County Sheriff's Office says this went down Saturday Afternoon when the suspect approached other people and then quickly fled after making a threat. Authorities say the man then hunkered down inside a vehicle on the west side of the Priest Rapids Dam after police surrounded him. Nearby residents were told to stay indoors while police dealt with the situation. The man was taken into custody, and the lockdown and shelter orders were canceled just before 4pm.
