UPDATE: Victim of Kennewick Shooting Identified. Location of shooting revealed

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Ezekiel Sanchez. Police say it's now a homicide investigation. The shooting apparently happened at the intersection of 1st and Dayton in Downtown Kennewick.

(Kennewick, WA) -- Kennewick Police are investigating after the victim of a gunshot wound victim had been dropped off at the Kadlec Emergency Room off 395 and 19th Ave Wednesday afternoon. Police arrived there to find the victim dead, and through their investigation, found there were two vehicles involved. One of the vehicles was left at the Kadlec ER, with the driver fleeing into a second car that was stopped by Police Chief Chris Guerrrero himself off West 5th and South Washington Street. After the stop, the man fled into a home nearby. Officers discovered a 5-year-old child, along with a firearm and a woman still inside the vehicle. Police and some member of SWAT responded to the scene. Several people were detained. The victim who died has not been identified.
