The Federal Aviation Administration has added Sea-Tac International Airport to its list of airports where large jets can land without risk of interference from 5G wireless networks. The determination comes amid concern from airlines as Verizon and AT&T start rolling out the new technology.


Federal officials confirm larger planes can fly in low visibility without fear of losing the use of crucial instruments. They say planes typically used for shorter routes still need evaluation. That includes smaller jets used by many airlines to connect with regional airports.
