Lawyers for the city filed a countersuit against the Seattle Times on Friday denying allegations that it violated the law or engaged in improper governmental action. The Seattle Times filed a lawsuit against the city last month in response to a whistleblower report released in May that found that Durkan's office mishandled public records requests after learning that roughly ten months of the mayor's text messages were missing.
