18-year-old arrested in road range incident, reportedly waving around gun

A man is facing charges after a road range incident, in which he reportedly waved a gun around.

Kennewick police say around 5:55 p.m. a woman called police and said a driver in a pickup on Quinault and Center Parkway started honking and seemed to be yelling, as well as, waving a pistol.

The woman told police the truck driver was following her. Officers were able to pull over the suspect at Kellogg and Clearwater. The 18-year-old driver Hunter Simpson was taken into custody and so was his 18-year-old passenger.

Officers say Hunter was booked into Benton County Jail for Assault 2nd and Felony Harassment. His truck is impounded until a search warrant can be obtained to find the pistol.
