10 Year Old Girl Drowns

A 10-year-old Issaquah girl died Monday night from a suspected drowning in an irrigation pond near George, Washington.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office reports the child was vacationing with family near the 300 block of Silica Road Northwest and slipped under the surface of the 3-acre pond while playing with other children…authorities say the child was drawn into the pond’s siphon which supplies irrigation for an adjacent vineyard.
