A man is on the run after police say he robbed a craft store in Yakima at gunpoint.

Yakima Police say the man went into the Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store on the 3700 block of Tieton Drive Thursday evening, brought a few items up to the cash register and then said he didn't have the money with him and he was going to get it out in his car. Officers believe he may have been spooked with several people around, so he left.

But when he came back into the store a short time later, no one was there but the clerk and that is when he pulled out a gun and demanded money. Officers say he is believed to have taken off in a black 4-door vehicle.

Officers describe the man as dark-skinned in his 20's wearing a blue hoodie with sunglasses around 5-5" with a thin mustache. Yakima Police say they will be looking through surveillance video from the store and nearby businesses.
