A two-year-old reported missing by his family has been found just south of Ellensburg Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers say he had a slight ankle injury, but other than that is in good health and will remain at the hospital with a CPS advocate until his family picks him up. Troopers say they are unsure of how he received the injury.

The driver John Klingele, had permission from the family to take the boy from Montana to Seattle but Public Information Officer Brian Moore says he had two outstanding warrants and a suspended license in MT, so he will be booked into jail. Klingele suffers from a Diabetic condition and when he did not arrive Tuesday, the family was concerned he may have had  a severe diabetic reaction, leaving the 2-year-old in a hot car.

Washington State Patrol says they are still investigating exactly why Klingele ended up in Kittitas County, when he originally was suppose to drive through Wenatchee and onto Seattle.

A trooper spotted the SUV he was driving alongside a road, near 821. When he went to investigate, he found both the 2-year-old and Klingele inside.
