(Richland, WA) -- Demonstrators gathered at Richland's John Dam Plaza Monday calling on elected leaders to enact immigration reform and improve pathways to citizenship. It was part of a series of Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network rallies taking place across the state Monday and Tuesday.


"We keep pushing for citizenship within the reconciliation package. We believe it's possible." said local Organizer Cariño Barragan.

Participants also wrote letters to U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell.

Monday rallies also took place in Seattle, Skagit, Tacoma, Vancouver, and Yakima.


Tuesday's demonstrations will occur in Spokane, Ellensburg, Wenatchee, and Walla Walla.
