(Walla Walla, WA) -- The Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office says they are now calling the case of a fisherman who went into the Walla Walla River Sunday night and did not come back up, a possible drowning. This after two days of searching for the man, who went into the water Sunday night. . WWSO deputies, Walla Walla County District 5 Fire personnel, Pasco Fire, and Columbia Basin Dive Rescue responded to search. The initial search was unable to locate the person reported as missing. Columbia Basin Dive Rescue has been out again and at this time they have not located the missing person. Currently, the Walla Walla, Snake and Columbia Rivers are in the low 50-degree temperatures. It
is not recommended to swim in cold waters as it takes no time at all to become hypothermic and
unable to self-rescue.
