The Wahluke School District in Mattawa went into a "teaching lockdown" Thursday morning after receiving a threatening phone call.

Wahluke School District says a "teaching lockdown" means all exterior building doors and interior classroom doors are locked. At the time of the lockdown, which was still in effect at 11 a.m., you have to be cleared by Grant County Sheriff deputies.

School officials say there is limited movement between classes and kids should be released at a normal time.

Officials say the threat remains under investigation and have not released details.
