(Kennewick, WA) -- Kennewick Police say they've arrested two 15 year-old boys in connection to a burglary. This all began on Sunday morning when KPD officers responded to Ranch and Home off North Columbia Center Blvd for a report of a burglary. Police observed that forced entry was made into the business and multiple firearms had been stolen. Monday at around 3:45 PM, the two suspect teens were located entering an apartment in the area of the 1100 block of W 10th Ave. SWAT was called to the scene and the boys were taken into custody. W 10th Ave was shutdown between Newport St and Hartford St. due to the proximity of the apartment to W 10th Ave. During a search of the location, multiple firearms were recovered. Both suspects were booked into the Benton County Juvenile Detention Center. During this incident, Park Middle School was placed in lockdown for the safety of the children that were participating in after school sports. Children were being released to the east of the location where parents were able to safely pick up their children. The school was in lockdown for about 25 minutes and was re-opened as soon as the scene was found to be safe.
