Man Hit by Car in Kennewick

KENNEWICK, Wash.--One male pedestrian was taken the hospital following a vehicle versus pedestrian crash in Kennewick this Thursday morning. It happened at 1st Avenue and Benton Street in downtown. Preliminary investigation suggests the man was intoxicated by alcohol and walked into the street as a car was approaching. The driver is being cooperative.

Authorities blocked off sections of the road nearby while they investigated. The roadway was reopened at 6:25am.
