Man Arrested for Child Assault, After Baby Brought to ER

(Kennewick, WA) -- A 20-year-old man has been arrested after a 14-day old baby with head injuries was brought to a Kaldec ER Wednesday afternoon by the suspect and a 19-year-old woman. Kennewick Police say doctors told them the baby had a skull fracture along with bruising and swelling to the left side of his face. The two told doctors they didn't know how the baby had gotten the injuries. After a search warrant at the couple's home, the father was taken into custody and now faces a 2nd Degree Child Assault Domestic Violence charge. The infant was airlifted to a hospital out of the area and is in stable condition
