Police: Man arrested for DUI after crashing into mail truck

A man is arrested for a DUI after police say he crashed into a mail truck delivering mail in Kennewick.

Officers say a truck hit the United Postal service truck delivering mail in the eastbound lanes of 4th street around 1:40 p.m.

They say the truck crashed into the side of the mail carrier's truck causing significant damage. Both the driver and the postal service worker suffered from minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck will be charged with DUI and officers are still investigating to see if other charges may be filed.

The eastbound lanes of 4th street were closed for around 40 minutes.
