The Latino Coalition Tri-Cities says they sent a letter to the US Attorney General and President Obama in an effort to have the shooting death of Antonio Zambrano-Montes reviewed.

The move, follows the Justice Department decision not to pursue federal criminal charges against three Pasco police officers.

David Cortinas with the coalition says they sent the request Wednesday to Attorney General Loretta Lynch and copied President Obama on the request.

"We got the prosecuting attorney to have his say, we have now the Department of Justice to have their say, and I don't see any reason why the Hispanic community at home [can't have] their say," says Cortinas.

County Coroner Dan Blasdel said Wednesday he will move forward with the Coroner's inquest, which is what Cortinas says is "great news."
