Kennewick teacher’s strike claims 3rd day, school closed Thursday

The teacher's strike in Kennewick continues, as the union and school district could not reach an agreement on a new contract.

The following was released by the KSD Wednesday evening:

The Kennewick School District (KSD) continues to negotiate with the Kennewick Education Association (KEA) and as of 7 p.m. an agreement has not been reached. There will be no school tomorrow as the KEA continues its strike.

School-based athletic practices and events will continue to be held at their regularly scheduled times, as coaching contracts are separate from the KEA contract.
