The Franklin County Coroner says more funding is needed to hold an inquest into the shooting death of Antonio Zambrano-Montes.

Dan Blasdel says they need an additional $27,000 from the Franklin County Board of Commissioners. He says the money will pay for a Tri-City attorney to present the facts of the case. This will be on top of the already approved $25,000 budget.

The inquest has face several setbacks following problems finding a location, getting funding and the Special Deputy Coroner deciding not to take part for personal reasons.

Blasdel says a new date has not been set for the inquest and much of it will depend on the commissioners decision Wednesday at the meeting he is presenting the budget request.

The meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the commissioners room in the Franklin County Court House.
