The Franklin County Coroner identified the man who was found dead near Mesa Elementary School Wednesday.

Franklin County Chief Deputy Coroner Candice Hermanson says they were able to confirm the identity of the man as Jesse Ray Hines. His family has been notified and he is survived by his father, mother, spouse, daughter, and son.

Hermanson says his cause of death has not been determined.

Deputies were called to an access road near Mesa Elementary School Wednesday for a dead body found to be in a state of decomposition.

An autopsy was performed Friday and deputies say his cause of death will not be released until more tests come back, due to the condition the body was found in.

The Franklin County Coroner who completed the autopsy says the man was approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall but the only distinguishing element was a tattoo on the man's upper arm.
