Fires scorch a building and a car Wednesday morning
PASCO, Wash. - The Pasco Fire Department said 2 fires were intentionally set ablaze Wednesday morning in Pasco. The first call came in around 2:40am. Officials say a pile of car parts and tires were lit intentionally and that fire spread to a fence and a pole, before torching the side of the Franklin County PUD building.
A second fire was reported just an hour later. Firemen arrived at the scene of a car that was burning. The fire was extinguished and the owner of the vehicle was identified. Through an investigation, officials determined the car was stolen and intentionally set on fire.
Both fires are suspicious and currently under investigation. If you have any information about the two fires, you're asked to call the Pasco non-emergency dispatch number at (509) 628-0333 or send an email to andrewsm@pasco-wa.gov.
